Orfhlaith Egan paints A Soft Day and more
I was born in Rotterdam, raised in Ireland and now live in Berlin since 2014. Having completed a degree in History of Art at Trinity College Dublin in 1999, I worked and traveled around the world for 14 years before moving to Germany to focus on my art professionally and create my own studio practice and gallery.
My paintings are inspired by the landscape of my childhood and the other lands traveled since. I have taken part in group and solo exhibitions and my work is on permanent display at Freyer Marktforschung and Wüs Atelier & Gallery. My paintings have been acquired for private collections worldwide.
Painting representational and re-imagined landscapes celebrating nature, my paintings are memories that shape my ideas about the present and future.
I like to think that my artwork is always optimistic and extremely positive, creating a space of reflection and calm. Some pose questions in the abstract, while others simply a reason to stop; look; take a breath and remember.
As a self-employed professional artist I want to give you the very best value, quality and service that I can. All my original paintings are made on quality material, painted by hand and inspected carefully.
